Beserk copbots, similar to Mad Copbots were once part of Cityadmin's police force, the Copbots. Each year several of Lioon Reza's Copbots disappear from the streets of Neocron. These copbots are often sold off by criminals to the twillight guardian who reprogram them for covert operations within Neocron. However the copbot AI often resist this reprogramming and the units will become maddened and will wander the wastelands attacking runners at sight.

Other reasons for copbot madness are due to AI malfunctions especially in the friend/foe recognition. Usually such defect units will be disabled and reprogrammed or recycled. However in rare cases the unit may successfully escape through the Outzone sectors and into the wastelands.

Gameplay

The Beserk Copbot's can be found in the areas in Gaia Mine. They are high level mobs, which can be defeated by a fairly competent runner or a team of them, however, do not underestimate them if they are in groups.

They are equipped with Laser Rifles, which do Energy damage.
