Lore
Hoverbots are massive mechanical robot type devices which were used during the Ceres war. After the destruction of their command center during the war the Hoverbots starting attacking random targets. It is currently unkown whether they have developed a sentience or whether some kind of higher AI is controlling them.
Gameplay
Hoverbots are mostly found in the mountainous and desert regions around Techhaven. They are not a force to be underestimated and any unprepared runner will be in trouble. After destroying a hoverbot the runner will be rewarded by the hoverbot dropping to the ground, this will then be hackable and has been known to contain tech parts as well as higher-level armor and weapon parts.
Be aware that Hoverbots have an energy type of weapon which they fire at any enemies and do X-ray and Energy damage.
