Neocron Wiki:Policy

User Policy

• Users should be civil with each other
• Community members must also remember that new members have as much useful information as older members
• The naming convention must be used
• Where ever possible try not to create lots of stubs, either mis-spelt or different abbrivation that go nowhere
• Articles should be unbiased, and should have verifiable fact
• Usernames should not be offensive or rude
• No user should use the wiki as a personal store for images - any found will be deleted by the Admins
• Please make sure to mark major edits as major and not minor - if you mistakenly do it as a minor then please make another edit, and post that the previous one was major.

Sysop Policy

Redirects

• Sysops should only allow a redirect to the main article if the redirect will help with the search function of the site, they should avoid using mispelt words in redirects.

Deletions

• Pages destined for deletion should be added to the Pages to be deleted page and a reason should be added, this then stops anyone from deleting pages without all Sysops agreement.
  • These pages should also have a {{Deletion}} tag placed on the page.

Site Policy

Content

• No copyright content should be used without the express written consent of the copyright holder
  • Any content that is copyright and has permission used needs to have a copyright tag at the bottom of the page and also an admin needs to be informed.
• All content posted onto this site is used under the GNU policy

Naming Convention

• Naming of a page should use the full name of the subject unless an abriviation is more commonly used - for example NC should not be a name page, the page should be called Neocron.
• The first letter of all names should be capitalised, any subesquent letters should be lower case, unless in a second word.
• The uses of slashes in names to indicate a sub section is prohibited, instead think to add it to a category
• Any pages to do with the day to day running of the NCwiki website need to be prefixed with Ncwiki:<page name> to give ease of linking.

Page Conventions

• Pages should not be created to promote old or current neocron servers.
• Pages should not be created to promote old or current neocron players.
• Pages should not be created to promote old neocron clans.
• Pages created to promote current neocron clans must contain relevant information. Relevance is rewieved on a case to case basis by Nc-Wiki admins.

Language Conventions

• This site is in UK-ENGLISH and please dont get upset if you are edited to change to UK english - colour not color!

Picture Conventions

• All pictures should be in the JPG format for ease of placement.
• Please try to remove the hud before taking the picture. This can be archived with the command /set ctrl_renderhud 0|1
