Yup, I've seen the Cyberdine Systems version [http://biotech.homepage24.de/bilder/dto_karte.jpg], they've done a good job of fitting it all in, but all the cross-over lines make it a little awkward to follow smoothly - in my opinion.
Sorry about the width, I remembered to keep it to 1024x768 to allow for lower res monitors, just forgot to allow for the wiki menu bar - does it fit better now? --[[User:Heathen|Heathen]] 15:50, 6 July (BST)

Fits fine now, might look even better if you use the same colour background as the wiki? not sure though --[[User:Biglines|Biglines]] 16:12, 6 July 2008 (BST)

I tried that, but I think it needs the black as a contrast - particularly the ladders/lines seem to fade into the grey. The black still fits in with the wiki theme, in the menu/title etc., and your individual maps all have black backgrounds too. ;-)
Latest revision as of 15:52, 6 July 2008

I've followed on from Biglines' excellent work, with the intention of making one map that can be viewed easily at a glance. I had to rotate the maps a little to reduce overlapping of the ladders, but it's still very crowded around map E. Have only done half the tunnels so far - think all the tunnels on one map would be even harder to read. Please let me know what you think, any suggestions for improvements are welcome. -- Heathen 13:00, 06 July 2008 (BST)

I've been thinking bout doing it in flash, but that wouldn't really give an overview either. There's an overview map somewhere, just not really fitting in with the wiki theme atm. but nice work, try to make it a bit less wide though --Biglines 14:15, 6 July 2008 (BST)

Yup, I've seen the Cyberdine Systems version [1], they've done a good job of fitting it all in, but all the cross-over lines make it a little awkward to follow smoothly - in my opinion.
I've tried to keep everything lined up to make it easier to get a feel of where you are, does it help?

I tried that, but I think it needs the black as a contrast - particularly the ladders/lines seem to fade into the grey. The black still fits in with the wiki theme, in the menu/title etc., and your individual maps all have black backgrounds too. ;-)
