PSI shields
Official description
Deflector PSI modules create a PSI generated protection shield surrounding the target reducing damage caused by Force and Piercing weapons
Functionality
Shield modules reduce incoming damage from the corresponding damage type. They are a very important tool of survival and should be present in every combat team.
Shield override
When casting a shield module on a target that is already shielded, the current shield buff is not replaced by the next cast even if it's stronger than the current. The current buff retains its strength, but the duration is refreshed.
Shield removal
Monk that specializes in APU can remove shields using Antibuffs module. The alternative is to use Crahn Organism Infector V1 modified with the corresponding anti-shield nanites, but PSI incapable classes like Tanks cannot use it due to FCS requirement.
Shield incompability
PSI shield modules are incompatible with shielding provided by Nanite Injectors and will not refresh their duration.
Damage mitigation

At base, shield module reduces incoming damage by about 5%. When a Monk reaches 112 points in PPU, shields are greatly reinforced and will give 38% damage reduction. Damage reduction is better on higher TL modules, starting with 48% with Holy module and 53% with rare module. On Holy and rare module, every 10 points in PPU increases the damage mitigation by an additional 1%.
Variant: PSI Shield
The PSI-powers of the monk flow directly through his body and strengthen it. Incurred damage reduces PSI energy first before affecting the health of the character.
A special variant of the shield module. Reduces all kinds of incoming damage by 70% but decreases PSI pool by damage received increased by 1.5x. Damage mitigation stacks with other shield modules and resistances, but can be only cast on self. This shield type cannot be removed by Antibuffs.
Variant: Group Shield
Group shield applies single target Shield module to the caster and every target in 30m around him. Shield module applied this way has 30s shorter duration.
Variant: Shield Sanctum
Creates a 30m lingering field around the caster. After 10s, each target in the field gets a shield for 30s, and get refreshed once. Shield applied this way provides about 2x more mitigation than a single target shield, up to 92%. Field persists for 60s.
