Repair(REP)
Repair is a Dexterity subskill that allows to repair damaged equipment. Weapons degrade while using, armor degrade when taking damage. Implants degrade on runner death or on removal. This skill also allows repairing vehicles on the field without parking them in ASG and paying cash.
Item condition
Item condition is indicated by pair of numbers in the item window. The number on the left indicates the current condition. When that number reaches zero, item cannot be used (it's marked as 'wrecked' when hovered). The number on the right indicates the maximum condition. The repair process reduces permanently the number on the right by a set amount, indicated by the Repair skill and TL of the item, then restores the number on the left to the maximum. Once the number on the right reaches zero, the item is wrecked permanently and cannot be restored. To maximize the time you can use the item, repair only when the current condition is near zero.

to function. This tool does not need Repair Lube to work.

- Place the repair tool in the first slot

Maximum condition loss
With the Repair level equal to TL of the item, the maximum condition loss is between 4 and 5. The more the Repair skill, the less the maximum condition of the item will be lost but there is still some random factor to it. Losing 3 or 4 max condition on capped specialized character seem to be norm.
Faction Epic items and some quest items do not lose maximum condition when repairing and can be repaired indefinitely.
