I had planned on knocking up a quick guide/how to on mapping etc. later on tonight to be used with Brams guide but in the meantime for you Mr Biglines it's fairly straightforwward. You need to add into your Neocron.ini the line ENABLELOG = "TRUE" this will produce a damage log in your log file each time you log in and out.It will write up to 5 damage logs and then start to overwrite them as it goes.--{{:User:Logan Ford/Sig2}} 19:27, 3 July 2008 (BST)

Just a quickie - how about a 'random empty page' link, that is inserted with the welcome message (and can be used in our sigs, etc) - would basically take the user to an article from the big red link list, and with one click, registered users could be editing? I know it's not rocket science to start editing pages, but if it was tailored: "We would like you to build this page today!", we may tap into a reserve of people who think "What the hell, ok!" - I really do feel that the idle click-abouts during the bored half hours at work are the ones that will fill the wiki ;) --[[User:StevenJ|StevenJ]] 21:29, 21 July 2008 (BST)

Policies

There's going to need to be quite a few of these. The first thing that strikes my mind is: articles about players, player characters and clans. Are they allowed at all? What is allowed to be said? Who is supposed to contribute? Etc... Then we have the question of do we try and replicate (to some degree) policies like Wikipedia's verifiability and NPOV? Etc? CMaster 15:28, 7 November 2006 (GMT)

I agree - some policies will need to be created to get people to agree to it - I dont mind pages being created about players and clans as it would allow a nice roleplaying situation to occur where people could be hyper linked - although it could also cause flames and grafiti. --Delphi 16:09, 7 November 2006 (GMT)
Id say clan articles should be left out but articles on player characters would fit nicely on the users personal pages. This would get rid of thos red link names and give something more interesting than a lil "I got tired of the red link" profile pages. As for further policies i believe the admin team should sit down in a msn conference and get them typed up. --Solid Rock 09:38, 13 November 2006 (GMT)

Making it more tempting for people to add an article

Just a quickie - how about a 'random empty page' link, that is inserted with the welcome message (and can be used in our sigs, etc) - would basically take the user to an article from the big red link list, and with one click, registered users could be editing? I know it's not rocket science to start editing pages, but if it was tailored: "We would like you to build this page today!", we may tap into a reserve of people who think "What the hell, ok!" - I really do feel that the idle click-abouts during the bored half hours at work are the ones that will fill the wiki ;) --StevenJ 21:29, 21 July 2008 (BST)
