Right lets get this clear. The first bug screenshot shows a overlapping image/merging with another bug. I've had several people check this, and it's been tracked down to an issue with FF2. It does not happen on IE6, IE7 and FF3. I've also tested Opera 9.23 and this doesn't happen their either.  Biglines this is the issue I've been dealing with, nothing else. If you know a FF2 workaround for the issue in the 1st screenshot, I'm listening.

The 2nd screenshot, is a different issue, the table is at a fixed width, which is causing the overflow issue on certain widths, which is fixable. Something needs to be done with the table to cope with the varying width of browsers.

Now, the wiki is open to all to edit, so could someone have a look at this 2nd issue please? Thanks. --Brammers 20:59, 5 July 2008 (BST)

: Right to close this discussion, the problem has been fixed through the use of the nft Non Float Template which was designed for this exact issue. The problem was that the wiki forces the thumb images as a floating object to the right hand side of the page. This was then overwritten by the floating of the map to the right. Logan tried to compensate by utilising a table to put the images in so they would only float so far on the right, however the table was a fixed width which meant that the image would drop below the map when the page was too small in width on your screen. The non float template works through using a align div to align the image to wherever the user wants, and thus solves the problem.

I need to mention that these sorts of issues should be directed to user pages, and not necessarily put on these talk pages - maybe we need to set up a page to allow people to put technical problems with the site on. -- 22:14, 5 July 2008 (BST)

I'd like to apologize for sounding a bit rude and pissed off, some shit was stolen off my bike today, so not been in a good mood today, sorry bout that, don't think it'll happen again, feel free to remove any comments I made on this page... --Biglines 22:38, 5 July 2008 (BST)

Ok this page is a little broken on FF3.0.5 the image boxes are expanding to 100%. Putting a note here so it can be investigated. I've not stopped to look at the problem yet. --Brammers 23:44, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Format

Biglines you seem to have several issues with formatting from this page to the missions a little while ago. I don't see what your upload shows, i would ask the others take a look and see if they are having issues also.--[admin] Logan Ford • (talk) 23:56, 3 July 2008 (BST)

What resolution are you working with? mine is 1024*768 --Biglines 10:40, 4 July 2008 (BST)

I can see the small problem in the screenshot, but can't replicate it on Firefox 3. What version of Firefox are you using Biglines? --Brammers 11:27, 4 July 2008 (BST)

I have firefox at home and the imnages do not collide, i am here at work on ie and the images do not collide so i can't replicate this either, on two machines both using different explorers.--[admin] Logan Ford • (talk) 14:10, 4 July 2008 (BST)

Firefox 2, but as it didn't update automatically i think a lot have that, but I just posted the screenshot, do as you please --Biglines 14:48, 4 July 2008 (BST)

Firefox 2.? I do need to know the subversion. You should be on at least 2.0.0.15 or 2.0.0.14. Also tried IE6 here at work no collision.

Another thing to try ctrl-refresh the page and purge the page by putting ?action=purge at the end of the URL. --Brammers 16:29, 4 July 2008 (BST)

I have 2.0.0.15 and in ie6 it looks even worse, with everything below eachother --Biglines 19:53, 4 July 2008 (BST)

Here's a screen from my end

OkBroadtower.jpg Ok here's a screen from my Firefox , this is exactly the same as i see on work PC with ie.Notice how even your text is more squashed than this? --[admin] Logan Ford • (talk) 20:17, 4 July 2008 (BST)

Right - it's a bug thats happens in FF2, but not IE6, IE7 or FF3. If someone wants to fix it, feel free. --Brammers 22:37, 4 July 2008 (BST)

no, like ive been telling u, it's not a bug, it's exactly the same if u guys make ur resolution 1024 wide... if i stretch my firefox over my second screen i get exactly the same layout as you people... why isn't this coming through? --Biglines 18:09, 5 July 2008 (BST)

Because it is a bug, I have tested this on FF3 and IE7 and IE6 and none of them have the same problem, even shrinking the size of the page doesn't create the same issue. Right to close this discussion, the problem has been fixed through the use of the nft Non Float Template which was designed for this exact issue.
