* Searching for FSM on the search page will not list the [[Neocron_abbreviations]] page, as the wiki search engine doesn't index anything with 3 letters or less. - Generally we dont like redirects, I dont know what the rest of the admin team on the wiki think about having Fsm redirect to Faction Supply Manager, this could be a slippery slope if we start making abbreviations for everything in neocron lol δφ (delphi) 18:47, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- I thought this was covered somewhere in the project policies, but I couldn't find it. (Someone want to have another look, I confess I didn't have a good look yesterday) --Brammers 10:49, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
Ok a little bit of testing from a searching point of view.
- If you type FSM in the search box, the sugguested search will bring this up.
- Searching for FSM on the search page, will not bring up the FSM page, unless the user ticks "List reditects" which is off by default.
- Searching for FSM on the search page will not list the Neocron_abbreviations page, as the wiki search engine doesn't index anything with 3 letters or less. (I don't know if the Wiki uses it's own search engine or it uses MySQL's full text search.)
So the conclusion - anyone searching for FSM is a little screwed by the wiki search page, but at least the sugguested search works and helps in this case. --Brammers 11:27, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
