Talk:Via Rosso
- Is it viarosso? or Via Rosso? because both have been spelt in the article and we need conformity - I have a feeling its the first although we could do with someone checking :) --δρ • Delphi (t) • (c) 00:54, 27 June 2008 (BST)
- Checked in game it's Viarosso thats is shown on the location section of the Rpos and the entering of district messages, and also the direction signs to Viarosso.
- However in the official history found both here and on neocron.com it is spelt Via Rosso. --Reaction 01:44, 27 June 2008 (BST)
- Just had a quick glance at the game manual and its Via Rosso in there too. --Reaction 02:24, 27 June 2008 (BST)
- Hahahaha good old KK ;) We need to decide which convention we are going to follow then - I think my vote would go for Viarsso seen as that is what it seems to be called in game --δρ • Delphi (t) • (c) 07:20, 27 June 2008 (BST)
- I always assumed it was (and prefer) Via Rosso, but the GR name and sector map each say "VIAROSSO", so I guess that makes more sense --StevenJ 10:01, 27 June 2008 (BST)
- Lol you got to love KK. There is another one like Viarosso - Tech Haven and Techhaven. I'm in favour of using the ingame name, while keeping a redirect in for people who do type in "via rosso" --Brammers 10:08, 27 June 2008 (BST)
- BioTech, Biotech, Bio Tech... fun times. The redirect is a sensible idea, I'm all for that solution. Just for the hell of it, I searched the NC forum for "Via Rosso" (with quotes) - 383 results. Viarosso returned 440. Weirdly, VR returned just 148. --StevenJ 11:14, 27 June 2008 (BST)

Even though I initialy moved the page to Via Rosso, I know think its best we move the page back to Viarosso and in the interest of continuity we use the same policy of in-game names to name all similar pages.--Reaction 14:01, 27 June 2008 (BST)
I agree with Reaction's comment here, and I'm going to sugguest this gets included in a policy page somewhere. Btw what are the wasteland sectors called in game? Is it J01 or J 01 Found a few screenshots, it's definatly has a space....Phew I though the mapping project was going to have issues there! --Brammers 14:13, 27 June 2008 (BST)
If both Via Rosso and viarosso are used in the game, viarosso is obviously a programming related term that's easier to use for certain aspects, and Via Rosso is the [|real name].. So if there's things like redirect and disambiguation, the real name should be used for the main article imho --Biglines 15:18, 27 June 2008 (BST)
I am wondering if it is worth starting a thread on the official forums to see if we can get some clarification? Whatever happens we will need to use the disambiguation system to redirect one to the other so its mainly just about which on the wiki we class as the primary name δρ • Delphi (t) • (c) 18:14, 27 June 2008 (BST)
