- New test server patch #563 has been released to Vedeena
Consumable
Consumables are mostly cheap items to gain a temporary buff or restorative effect to fill the gap in Runner's abilities. Vast majority of them can be recycled with help of a recycle tool, crafting them on the field without need to go back to the store for resupply. Some of them can be found directly in mob loot or in containers.
Medkit
Most basic type of consumable that restores health when used. Healing effect is not instant and need some time to restore the full amount. The effect is visible on the healthbar as less bright bar next to actual bar. You can stack multiple uses of medkits but the healing rate is constant. Typically outclassed by PSI and Nanite healing but can be used to complement them. Every single unit of medkit can be used up to 3 times.
Boosters
Restores stamina, psi or hck energy. Same rules as Medkit, the restorative effect is not instant and can be stacked. The natural regen of Stamina or PSI is much higher than health so typically you will need less of them, but they are no less useful. Essential for every melee or PSI user. HCK Booster can be used only in Hacknet.
Drugs
Probably the most important type of consumable, used to temporarily increase of skills or stats. Usage of drugs allows using equipment you cannot normally even with help of implants. Members of Black Dragon have access to very specialized types of drugs unavailable to buy anywhere else such as Blue Fairy . Drug effect is indicated by a buff 'Intoxicated' next to Quickbelt. When this effect wears off, Runner will experience a side-effect typically called 'Drugflash', obscuring vision and making difficult to move.
Refreshments
In this category, there are drink and food items found in restaurants or often as a mob drop. All of them act like Medkits, restoring health over time but on very tiny amount.
Drinks and Snacks
Restores health, up to 48 points. You need to stack many of them to have any meaningful effect, but great for early game when those drop from mutant and humanoid enemies.
Processed food
Restores health with a strength of First Aid , but as single item and much more expensive. Serves mostly as RP item.
Alcoholic drinks
Roleplay item, does absolutely nothing positive, just causing a Drugflash.
