Not much is known about these monsters, as they appeared in one of the patches, it is however thought that they are remenants of the force used by Ceres in the first war that have lain undiscovered for a long period of time until some runners stumbled across them.
Gameplay
The Troopers are level 127/127 *** and deal Energy and X-ray damage, which means that an Absorber drastically reduces the damage taken. It is recommended that only teams of Runners attempt these series of caves, as the Troopers will kill Runners easily.
