Lore

The Genotoxic Crawler is a mutant that was taken as a host by a Genotoxic Parasite. They prefer the dark places of the world. They walk around on all fours, kind of like a crab.

The Crawlers method of attack is either a melee attack or a ranged attack, which involves projectile vomiting a globule of genotoxic matter at a nearby runner.

Gameplay

Genotoxic Crawlers may be found in the lower parts of the Regants Legacy dungeon in amongst the Parasites, and the Sluggers. They attack with projectiles from far then try to crawl towards the target and do melee attacks with the tentacle on their chests. The projectile does Force and Poison damage, while melee attack deal Piercing and Poison damage. Melee attack is exceptionally dangerous as it can apply 3 stacks of Poisoned status effect, dealing heavy Poison damage. Occasionally they can do a small Poison AoE attack that applies stronger version of Contamination negative effect dealing Energy and Poison damage. Crawlers are highly resistant to Fire and Poison damage, but less than Parasites or Sluggers.

For genotoxic creatures of any type, it is best to stay out of melee range by circling them, rather than standing still.
