The big question!

Can we resolve this one? Is it staying ProtoPharm or are we going to move it to seperate the two words? if so the epic will have to moved also and tidy up the links already around the wiki. The game's text (can't check graphics at the mo) calls it ProtoPharm: "09-12-2008 22:37:15 > You gained a little sympathy with ProtoPharm." --StevenJ 13:28, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Ok ingame Wording is PROTOPHARM on the Faction screen, and on the NPC's. However the HQ is "PROTO PHARM HEADQUARTERS" and also the Logo does have a gap in it.

Sounds about right :p Searching the nc forum for 'Protopharm' returns 500 results. Searching for '"Proto Pharm"' returns 81 results. Also, my console.log file has two mentions spoken by runners of "proto pharm" and 7 "protopharm" --StevenJ 13:52, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Bram, if you think there should be a gap then why http://www.techhaven.org/db/item/1761.html this? or the http://www.neocronicle.com/?p=255 neocronicle which differs from the VOTR http://www.votr-mag.com/?p=126! lol. I'd like to propose that we make Proto Pharm into a page which lists everything based on Protopharm, i.e. epics HQ etc. then both can be searched for and we dont have to migrate lots of links? δφ (delphi) 16:28, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Logan about http://www.techhaven.org/db/item/1761.html - The 1st epic guide link was done by the THN so that can be tweaked, but the other 2 come from the Wiki putting those names in when a page is saved. Looks like I need to tweak the link script a little so that it doesn't include redirect pages. (And where did ProtoPharma come from?)

As Logan Everyone uses both, although "Proto Pharm" seems the least common on the two, as any characters in that faction are labeled as "ProtoPharm".

I think the best way is to move the pages, and leave the redirect pages in, so we have "Proto Pharm" as the correct page, and "ProtoPharm" is the redirect page to "Proto Pharm". Or it could be other way around. Before moving or creating any pages, I think we all need to agree which one is the correct one from the wiki point of view. --Brammers 19:57, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Another edit: Ok I did a little test on the dev wiki with the searching. I moved the page from "Protopharm" to "Proto Pharm". The search box will come up with both entries. However if you use the full search page on http://wiki.dev.techhaven.org/Special:Search It won't list the redirect, unless you tick the "List redirects" options, which isn't ticked by default.

Also to throw in the Google side of things. I searched for "neocron protopharm" and that listed more useful links than "neocron proto pharm"

So with these thoughts in mind, maybe Delphi's idea is the better one or we have redirect pages from "Proto Pharm to "ProtoPharm". From the from the wiki ease of use point of view I'm tempted to say stick with "ProtoPharm" although I still think that "Proto Pharm" is the correct wording.
