Overview
Melee weapons while not exactly fitting in futuristic combat, is still a valid, cheap, and elegant way to deal with any threat that came too close. Melee characters can dish out impressive damage output, do not require ammo with only limiting factor of stamina consumption. Fighting in melee also means you have to embrace the combat of very short range, so carefully pick your target, quickly reduce the distance then stab the opponent to death. Melee weapons have much fewer categories than their ranged counterparts, but it doesn't mean they are not as powerful.
Fire mode
All melee weapons have the same attack pattern, called 'Stroke' in-game and is equivalent of Single Shot of ranged weapons. Since patch 2.5, grenades joined melee weapon category instead of heavy weapons.
