Overview

An entry gate to an NF arena

NeoFrag is a virtual deathmatch arena located in the Pepper Park sectors of Neocron City.

NeoFrag is commonly used by players to engage in PvP, to test out new weapons on each other in complete battles without consequences, and to see how runners who are LE'd fare in fights and when might be an appropriate time for them to remove their LE.

Rules and limitations

The first person entering holo-deck sets up the maximum amount of players that can enter. The setting stays until the last person leaves the area. There is no way to "reserve" the deck only for certain people (like password). Everybody can enter if there are some slots left.

Runner state is saved upon entering. Any used/gained ammo and consumable, spent or lommed skill points or even items dropped on the floor are returned back to the state before entering. Even if this is PvP activity, Law Enforcer allows hurting other runners. Dying has zero consequences - there is no SI, you don't drop any quickslot belts and respawn instantly with full health.

Killing another runner earns a point. Killing yourself with self-damage, fall damage, or falling off map scores a negative point. Other than that there is no limitation on the scores or time spent fighting. There is no systemic win condition - participants decide when the round ends themselves. Score is displayed on the small window next to the compass.

Ammo Station

To mitigate loss of consumables over long time, some maps have Heal and Ammo stations. Each station can be activated by one person on a cooldown, indicated by a flashing light on the station if it's ready to use.

Healing station - enables health regeneration over time and instantly refills maximum stamina and PSI energy. The healing rate is the same as using a Recreation Unit. Cooldown: 20s

Ammo station - gives 4 packs of ammo for the active weapon when used. Cooldown: 15s
