Try adding '''?action=purge''' at the end of the URL that may fix it. Revision as of 11:36, 8 December 2008
This page is only for the Sysops and site Admins to use to discuss important site policies, and site messages.
- It is recommended that all the Sysops put this page on watch
Page Uses
- This page is to help with the filtration of information into the sysops, by only updating this page we can direct site wide admin attention to any issues of policy of dicussion which need large scale talk. This should not be used often, and should be used to direct attention. --δρ • Delphi (t) • (c) 22:15, 5 May 2008 (BST)
Sysop Discussion
- Brammers has added a discussion on the future of the sign in system for the wiki and the THN, as we are all now one site under the THN banner, should we be looking to merge the two sign in systems - please read the thread and add your comments here --δρ • Delphi (t) • (c) 23:01, 5 May 2008 (BST)
Policy
I would like to direct you attention toward Neocron Wiki talk:Sysop Policy]. The wiki's policys are in desperate need of an overhaul, many of them still contain place holders and what little we do have is extremely superficial. --Solid Rock 23:11, 5 May 2008 (BST)
- I totally agree - policies need a total overhaul, it was something on my THN forums todo list, however I personally just dont have the time - Can I suggest that we write the thoughts we have for each policy on the talk pages and then we can have a discussion about each section as they are added? --δρ • Delphi (t) • (c) 23:13, 5 May 2008 (BST)
Wiki Team
It would be nice to put together a team of Wiki admins for the Master_Hunter_Tournament being organised by Reakktor for the Terra server. Sign up here if you want to join us, if we can get 4/6 people then we will look at doing two teams and having a small bit of competition between the admins here in the wiki. This is a good chance for us to get some publicity to the wiki, and also have some fun whilst we are at it! δρ • Delphi (t) • (c)21:22, 13 May 2008 (BST)
- I would love too but my connection Blows! would hate to let the side down :( hope to get new ISP but not for at least 3 months! Bummer /gutted tbh [admin] Logan Ford • (talk)17:07, 13 May 2008 (BST)
- Id really love to go but sadly theyve schedules it 4 days after my account runs and I cant afford to renew it for another 3 months. --Solid Rock 21:23, 15 May 2008 (BST)
Current sign up
- Update 4th June - Ok I'm still up for this, but I may need to send in a new team to the event organisers. The team I had entered consisted of Me, Matan and Chris (Exl member). Since then we have Delphi back and also Dribble Joy said he would help out as well, which will give us at least 2 teams. I know it's not quite the wiki team but it still be a bit of fun. --Brammers 14:09, 4 June 2008 (BST)
- Update: I am going to have to pull out again, I have just been told that I am off to watch the Matrix trilogy back to back at the IMAX cinema in London (Starting at 11:30, but obviously need to be there before hand). Sorry guys.... δρ • Delphi (t) • (c) 11:33, 5 June 2008 (BST)
Item DB Discussion
I have started a thread on the THN forums about future coding work on the Item DB, which has some items related to the Wiki. Please see http://forum.techhaven.org/viewtopic.php?t=3096 and I would welcome any thoughts and comments there as well. --Brammers 14:37, 19 May 2008 (BST)
NCWiki Admin Meet
- I am trying to organise a meet in London as part of JfL (The gaming community I help to run) and would like to invite all of the Wiki admins, it would be great to meet you all and buy you a beer to say thanks for all the hard work you have all put into the wiki. To sign up please post dates when you are available here δρ • Delphi (t) • (c) 10:49, 21 May 2008 (BST)
New policy discussion
Ok I've more or less finalised the draft for the Disambiguation Policy I would like anyones comments on it ASAP, and I would like to make it live next week, as it does effect the mapping project. --Brammers 14:04, 4 June 2008 (BST)
Banners
- We have been asked by Snowcrash to make a small banner for use on the front page of the official site here - I have come up with two designs so far - will be working on some more over the next couple of days - any feedback and comments are welcome here δφ (delphi) 15:07, 1 August 2008 (BST)
New wiki software
Ok on the dev site is the latest version of the software, which needs testing. Can all Sysops please read http://forum.techhaven.org/viewtopic.php?t=3182 and help out with the testing please. --Brammers 14:08, 27 September 2008 (BST)
Editing bug
Upon editing a small page, the page became corrupt - the Berserker page. I have made some suggestions on that page's discussion, which I think warrants discussion. --StevenJ 22:33, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
update - it's happened again, this time when nothing was edited, whilst I was getting the links... --StevenJ 22:33, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Try adding ?action=purge at the end of the URL that may fix it. I know the wiki software has it's internal cache, so it may be worth clearing it if it happens again. --Brammers 23:53, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
