What is a Dungeon?

Dungeons are sectors which are filled with mobs of a particular theme. They are scattered throughout the starting Cities and the Wastelands. Typically, the City dungeons contain lower-level mobs and are designed solely to help new runners level, the Wasteland dungeons designed for levelling, completing quests and item farming. They are great places to level as there is usually a higher concentration of mobs within them that can be killed with Area of Effect weapons.

Neocron dungeons are not instanced - meaning that there is no control over who is in the dungeon at any one time, and there can often be a fight for the hunting privileges of the dungeon.

City Dungeons

City Dungeons are found within City sectors and are suffixed with a difficulty such as (Easy). This difficulty suffix relates to what rank your character is suggested to be, and to the difficulty of Terminal Mission target that can be found within.

Wasteland Dungeons

Dungeons in the Wastelands are designed to be more difficult, with more numerous tougher enemies that hit harder. The intention behind these dungeons is to encourage group-based exploration and cooperation; the increased difficulty leads to greater XP gains, more credits, and unique item rewards.

However, it's worth noting that not all dungeons share the same level of difficulty. Some are deliberately structured to demand a higher degree of skill, tactical finesse, and the precise assembly of a well-coordinated team to maximize the rewards they yield.

The most popular dungeons at the time of writing are:
