Dungeons are zones full of Mobs, which are necessary for quests (such as the Juggernaut Facility, Gaya Mines), or very good for leveling (Chaos Caves, El Farid), or a good source of rare items (Ceres Biomechanial Laboratories) - sometimes all three (Regants Legacy). They are scattered throughout the wastelands and the Cities. Typically the inner city dungeons contain lower level mobs and designed solely to help new runners level, the wasteland dungeons designed for leveling and completing quests.
Neocron dungeons are not instanced - meaning that there is no control over who is in the dungeon at any one time, and there can often be a fight for the hunting priviledges of the dungeon.
